Price

The price of a cryptocurrency is the value someone is offering to purchase the cryptocurrency at another currency (example, USD). For example, the price of 1 BTC is 33,000 USD today. The price of a cryptocurrency doesn't however need to be the same with respect to all other currencies, the exchange rates might vary depending on the currency (fiat or cryptocurrency).

It should be noted that the price of a cryptocurrency is not exactly the price one could buy coins for right now, but rather it is the price of the last transaction that took place on one of the exchanges.

The actual price one could instantly buy coins for is the ask price. Conversely, if one wanted to instantly sell their coins on the market, the bid price would be it.
